We will study the 3 bodies - Physical Body (Asana), Energy Body (Prana), Mind Body (Spirit).

Parampara; Mysore, the History and Linage of the Ashtanga Practice.
This workshop will include discussion on Pattabhi Jois, Ashtanga series and methodology.

Workshop 12:30- 3:30 pm

Invoking; Translating the Invocation.
A study on the Ashtanga invocation.
Meditation & Refining your Transitions.
This workshop will look at the traditional ashtanga jump through and pull through and the beauty of the vinyasa method as described in Yoga Mala by Patabhi Jois. Includes asana demonstration and practice.

Deepening your Practice; The Anatomy of the Spine.
This workshop will look at the physical benefits of the asana practice through the ashtanga 1st and 2nd series poses.
Includes demonstration and a short practice focused on Dropping back into backbend.

Lightness & Strength; The Pranic Practice.
In this workshop we will study the Bandhas, Nadis, Vayus (vital airs), and the Pranic spine, Shashumna Nadi.
Includes demonstration, practice and Pranayama practice.

Yoga Therapy, The Medicine of Yoga Chikitsa.
Bring advanced series into 1st series.
Includes Q & A of 1st Series and demonstration and practice.

Evening Workshop 6-8 pm

The Spiritual Evolution found in our daily practice
Discussion of the yoga philosophy and how we evolve into a higher consciousness through yoga asana, breath and chakras.
Includes candle lit yoga meditation practice.

The Joy of Balance
Hand stand, headstand, and arm balance workshop.
This workshop will include a dynamic one hour Dragon Practice. Specific focus will be on Handstand and Pincha Mayurasana.

Opening the Heart through Nadi Shodhana Intermediate Series.
The transformative qualities of the practice.
This workshop will include studies on mythology, anatomy and practice.
Specific focus will be on opening Backbend & Kapotasana.
Closing Meditation.

This is a lovely intimate bed and breakfast inn with spectacular views within walking distance of Pacific Ashtanga. Included in the room rate is a bountiful breakfast buffet, afternoon wine and hors d’oeuvres, freshly baked cookies, on-site parking and use of bicycles to take a cruise around Dana Point. The Inn is conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, bars and cafes.
