Diana at the Montage for the 2015 Mind Body Yoga Series

Saturday and Sunday, November 21-22

Diana Christinson
Saturday - Vijnanamaya kosha, "wisdom - intuition" sheath

The fourth layer of ourselves is our wisdom. Beyond knowledge is wisdom, an inner understanding. This workshop begins with a guided meditation followed by a discussion on this inner sheath. Yoga practice is a meditative flow.

Sunday - Vijnanamaya kosha, "wisdom - intuition" sheath

Wisdom does not come from external knowledge; it is an inner understanding. Both wisdom and intuition are internal qualities we can cultivate. This workshop begins with a slow, powerful meditative yoga flow followed by a discussion on this inner sheath. Beach hike optional.

This is a series of classes on self myofascial and trigger point therapy release implementing the use of foam rollers and balls. Both techniques are similar in that they strive to eliminate connective tissue restrictions, eliminate pain and
restore proper muscular function.
The focus is to re-hydrate the connective tissues and to bring circulation to the muscles in a way that exercise alone or drinking water can't.
These are very effective, safe and cheap methods to help with the repair and prevention of injuries.

Healing Your Heart Through Yoga w/ Melanie Larinde
Saturday, May 16
2:00pm - 5:00pm
$45 per person / Save $5 each when you bring a friend

Recent studies have shown that a flexible spine leads to a healthier heart. Arteries, the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart, pass through the lungs and bring oxygenated blood to the rest of the body, nourishing every single cell.

Breathwork is an integral part of Yoga; in fact you could say it is the HEART of YOGA.
The combination of focused breathwork along with Yoga postures which strengthen and renew suppleness in the tissue, can be instrumental in keeping your heart and arteries healthy.

In this unique Workshop:
INCREASE the oxygenation of blood through Breathwork
STRETCH and STRENGTHEN your body through Yoga postures
QUIET your mind through Meditation

Guest Instructor for Conference
Sunday, April 26
8:00am - 8:25am

While Diana is teaching in Dallas, we are delighted to have a guest instructor and fellow practitioner, Tiziana, conduct the conference. Our senior teacher, Maria, will lead us in Led Primary Series immediately following the Conference.

Tiziana will provide a prelude to a series of classes on self myofascial and trigger point therapy release, implementing the use of foam rollers and balls. Both techniques are similar in that both strive to eliminate connective tissue restrictions, remove pain and restore proper muscular function.

Trigger point therapy and myofascial release are not a miracle cure for chronic pain - but they surely help! They are underrated self-treatments that have the potential to quickly, cheaply and safely help with many common pain problems that don't respond well to other traditional methods.

The Essence of Sadhana

Patanjali says, "Tapah svadhyaya Isvara pranidhanani kriya yogah." This sutra gives us a recipe for success in our sadhana—a method for bringing our bodies, minds, and spirit into a state of alignment. Sadhana means "great accomplishment." The great accomplishment of sadhana is to bring forth the best from within us—the light, love, wisdom, compassion, nobility, and generosity that are inherent in our soul. According to Patanjali, our primary obstacles in this endeavor are the klesas—five universal human character flaws that keep us stuck in limited and repetitive states of being. In this workshop we will explore the primary series of ashtanga yoga as an archetype of sadhana, placing it first within the philosophical context of the Yoga Sutras, and then doing the practice as a means of purifying the body, inquiring into the true nature of the self, and empowering the spirit. Hanuman, also known as Sankata Mochana (dispeller of distress), is the deity most closely linked with neutralizing the klesas. The workshop will conclude with the chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa—a prayer to Hanuman for removing the klesas.

Start your New Year with the gift of HEALTH!
Join Diana for a Radiant Health Cleanse and mini Retreat at the Montage Resort January 17th & 18th.
Retreat Cleanse options include: one full day or include one night or full weekend.

Radiant Health Montage Retreat and Cleanse
To achieve radiant health we need to look at the entire self - body, mind and spirit. Yoga is a beautiful foundation for us to explore and improve our overall health. This weekend retreat and cleanse will be an opportunity to take a day or two out of our busy lives to clean our physical body as well as our mental and emotional (spiritual) body.

The cleanse workshop will be based on the yoga Kosha's or sheaths. The Kosha's are layers of the self. Like an onion the sheaths start with the outer most layer, the physical body, and move inward towards the energy body, mind/knowledge body and wisdom/intuition body to our innermost beautiful selves.

The four weekend Retreats and Cleanse are based in yoga and will explore the layers and sheaths of our body and look at how we can cleanse and return to our most vibrant health.
